Arab bar association deplore American violations of international law

The Arab Bar Association has denounced the accusations directed against Syria in violation of international law in that these US accusations "represent a continuation of the American policy which is based on the logic of hegemony and the false allegations."

In a statement yesterday, the Association asserted that the United States goes on in its policy of directing accusations to the states which oppose the American plans in the region.

For its part, Al-Ahram newspaper has also denounced the American accusations directed against Syria asserting that these accusations confirm the American double standards policy.

It also asserted that the US accusations are an attempt to divert the attention from its failure in Iraq.

The daily called today for "imposing sanctions on Israel which possesses all kinds of the mass destruction weapons that threaten the security and stability of the region and the world as a whole."
