Abu Zeid: L.E. 1.5 billion to divert 2 Nile courses in October

Mahmoud Abu Zeid, Egypt's Water Resources and Irrigation Minister, said the course of the Nile will be diverted in Naja Hamadi during October celebrations in order to establish a barrage at an estimated cost of L.E. 1.5 billion.

This is the second time the course of the Nile is diverted. The first was made during the building of the High Dam.
