Spain asks Allouni of information about Bin Laden
Al-Jazeera's correspondent in Spain said that the Spanish attorney general in interrogating Teiseir Allouni over any information he had received as a journalist about the leader of al-Qaida organization Osama Bin Laden that would be helpful in the efforts made to arrest him ( Bin Laden).
It is, however, assumed that the judge will announce today whether Allouni will spend another period of time for investigation or will release him.
The correspondent explained that there are unsatisfactory developments concerning Allouni as the investigation judge received bad information from both the US and Israel that led to opening new files in the investigations including Allouni's relations with the Cecheaneans, noting that this will lead to prolonging the period of investigation.
Board chairman of al-Jazeera TV Sheikh Hamad Bin Thamer al-Thani yesterday extended a message to the Spanish prime minister Jose Maria Aznar asking him to release Allouni, who was detained by the Spanish authorities on Friday.
