One American soldier killed in Baghdad; occupation operations in the Sunni triangle

News reports quoted eye witnesses that the headquarters of al-Miqdadeyah district in Deyali governorate to the north of Baghdad was exposed to an attack by mid- range weapons.

The sides behind this incident which resulted in no casualties were not known.

Meantime, the American occupation forces announced the killing of one American soldier by "friendly fire" on Monday evening in Baghdad.

A statement by the army said that one soldier from contingent 130 of engineers died because of the wounds he had in friendly" fire, noting that an investigation was opened to that effect.
