Al-Qaddoumi: resistance is the only option
PLO Head of the Political Department, Farouk Kaddoumi, said in an open message he had sent yesterday from the headquarters of the political department in Tunisia to the US President George W. Bush and the secretary general of the United Nations AL Kofi Annan that "occupation is terrorism, in itself and defending the homeland and the freedom of the people and their dignity is the only option which is left for the Palestinian people, at a time when the racist government of Israel defies the world and builds the racist separation wall which deprives the Palestinian from living conditions means, continues acts of killing, detention and arrest, destruction of houses and tighten the besiege."
Kaddoumi called on international organizations to work for "warding off repression from the oppressed Palestinians, rather than punishing them, and to order the Israeli occupation forces to withdraw from our good lands, before they describe honest resistance as terrorism."
Kaddoumi called for sending immediately international forces to Palestine to halt bloodshed and preserve security and stability. He also called for forcing the Israeli government chaired by Ariel Sharon to "implement the roadmap to peace which was welcomed by the Palestinian authority, should Israel desires for peace." He indicated "the starting point is to start immediate withdrawal from the Palestinian territories."
