Egypt receives no foreign instructions on religion, firm views

Egypt's Minister of Waqfs ( Religious Endowments) Hamdy Zaqzouq said Egypt doesn't accept any foreign instructions related to religion and firm views whatever circumstances could be.

Zaqzouq, in statements yesterday, said such pressures and instructions were groundless.

The Imam has the right to choose the issue of Friday sermon "Khotba," he said. The Friday sermon in the Egyptian mosques are diversified, he added.

Upgrading the religious discourse is under consideration even before 9/11 events.
