Libre Belgique: young Moroccan dies while saving family from blaze in Belgium
A young Moroccan died suffocated while attempting to save his family from a blaze that raged through his cousin's house in Jurbise (western Belgium), said Tuesday the daily, Libre Belgique. Touhami Idrissi, who was visiting his Belgium-settled family, dared to face the flames that surrounded the second-floor home. He died asphyxiated by the thick smoke after having saved a child, the last person that remained in the house.
The members of the family were carried to hospital in a state of shock and an investigation was opened by the Mons tribunal. The fire was said to be accidental.
