Islamists parliamentarians will vote no confidence in the Jordanian government
The chairman of the Islamic parliamentary bloc at the Jordanian parliament, Azzam al-Huneidi, has disclosed the intention of the parliamentarians of the "Islamic Action Front Party" to vote no confidence for the government of Ali Abul Ragheb which will present its ministerial statement to the Jordanian parliament today to win the confidence of the parliament.
Al-Huneidi explained in a press statement that there are no perpetuated prior stances against the government, noting that the question of voting no- confidence is but a protest to the policy of the government in the previous phases.
He added that the composition of the government is not fundamentally different from its previous one, but he expressed his confidence that Abul Ragheb government will win the confidence of the parliamentarians because of the weak opposition in the parliament.
Al-Huneidi indicated that the parliamentarians of the Islamic movement called on the prime minister during meetings with him several days ago to stop normalization with Israel and to increase public freedoms. The parliamentarians also asked for pursuing a policy of national reconciliation and making change to the current elections law.
The Islamic action front party had strongly criticized the internal policies of the Jordanian government in previous phases and accused the government of ignoring the will of people.
