The Jordanian prime minister Ali Abul Ragheb discussed with his Kuwaiti counterpart yesterday ways of bilateral cooperation in the political, economic and energy fields.
The two sides discussed the accelerated developments especially concerning helping the Iraqis to run their affairs and rebuilding their country and means of supporting the Palestinian authority and government in their negotiations to implement the Roadmap.
An official source said that Abul Ragheb arrived yesterday in Kuwait in an official visit which lasts for two days during which he conveys a message from the Jordanian King Abdullah II to Kuwait's Amir Sheikh Jaber al-Ahmad al-Jaber al-Sabah as well as discussing the situation in Iraq.
Kuwait gives Jordan financial aids to cover its oil spending after Iraq had stopped providing Jordan with oil, as Jordan used to import its needs of oil at preferable prices with half of the amounts of imported oil for free.
During the past few years relations between Jordan and Kuwait have been greatly improved following the tension prevailed because of Jordan's position in support of Iraq during the Gulf war in 1991.
