Egypt will organize a Pharaohs exhibition in Paris in October 2004 under the aegis of president Hosni Mubarak and his French counterpart Jacques Chirac.

Preparations for the exhibition were discussed Friday in Paris between Egyptian Minister of culture Farouq Hosni and Director of the Arab world Institute in Paris Nasser Al Anssari.

The Egyptian minister expected the exhibition would be exceptionally important as it would showcase new Pharaonic artifacts. He expressed hope the exhibition would be opened by president Mubarak.

Revenues from the exhibition will be allocated for promoting the activities of the Arab World Institute to help spread Arab culture in France and Europe, the minister added.
