Syrian- Egyptian summit today in Cairo

An Egyptian official source said on Saturday in Cairo that President Hosni Mubarak and the Syrian President Bashar al-Assad will hold a summit today in Cairo.

The same source explained the summit will deal with the situation in the Middle East, especially starting the implementation of the Roadmap aiming at settling the Israeli- Palestinian differences as well as the situation in Iraq. The last summit between the two presidents was held on April this year in Damascus.
