Marrakech international film festival in October
The third edition of the International Film Festival of Marrakech will be held next October 3-8, organizers announced.
All along six days and six nights, the public will discover more than sixty films with the presence of actors and production teams from around the world.
The coming edition will honor the Indian cinema industry and will pay homage to Daniel Toscan du Plantier, French critic and former president of the festival, who passed away at the age of 61.
The increasing notoriety of the festival is materialized by the growing number of people from all over the world who attend its programs. In 2001, there were some 20,000 people in the festival and 40,000 in 2002.
The new edition will be marked by an open air free screening of films in the Jamaa El Fna square, the famed area made a universal heritage by the UNESCO.
