In a statement to press yesterday following a meeting for the Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak with several Cabinet ministers, al-Sharif added that it was decided to establish a council called "the national council for human rights" that belongs to the Shoura council, aiming at strengthening and promoting human rights, consolidating its values and disseminating awareness concerning it and ensuring its practice as a reality.
Al-Sharif added "the ministry of justice was assigned to formulate the draft law in its final shape when views are settled to that effect...and then a draft law will be proposed to the People's Assembly ( the parliament) for approval."
