Swiss press delegation meets with Omran, deputy premier on cooperation, ME issues

Syria's Information Minister Adnan Omran received the Swiss Information Delegation.

Omran stressed that the relations between Syria and Switzerland are based on cooperation and friendship expressing hope to develop them particularly in the field of economy and technology.

Omran reviewed the stages of the media development in Syria. He also stressed Syria's firm and principled stance towards realizing just and comprehensive peace based on the UN legitimacy resolutions that call for the Israeli withdrawal from all occupied Arab lands to the line of June 4, 1967.

For his part, Deputy Prime Minister for Economic Affairs, Mohammed al-Hussein received the Swiss information delegation.

Hussein stressed that the development and modernization process in Syria yields its fruits in the field of economy.

Hussein pointed out that the economic development rate in Syria increased by 3,3% last year due to the adopted economic measures under the leadership of President Bashar al-Assad.
