People's Assembly condemns allegations on Copts
The People's Assembly yesterday rejected and condemned the European Union's allegations against Egypt and its intervention in Egypt's domestic affairs, judiciary and human rights.
The Assembly in a meeting under Speaker Fathi Srour rejected the EU's comments that Egyptian Copts are minority.
Member of the parliament Badr Rizkallah said the Egyptian people is one fabric and there is no what is called minority or majority. The members praised Sorour's message he sent to his European counterpart, refuting the claims mentioned in a resolution passed by the European parliament on April 10 where only 1I5 members out of 664 voted in favour of this resolution.
