Rabat, Bamako keen on enhancing cooperation

Originally published

Morocco and Mali decided to enhance bilateral cooperation by associating the Moroccan private sector in mining, agriculture, industry and construction projects in Bamako.

After a meeting Friday between Moroccan premier, Driss Jettou and his Malian peer, Mohamed Ag Hamani, currently on a three-day visit to Morocco, the two prime ministers stressed the need to associate the private sector in bilateral ties promotion.

On the same day, the Malian official met Speaker of the Moroccan House of Representatives (parliament lower chamber), Abdelouahed Radi, and Speaker of the Chamber of Advisers (upper chamber) Mustapha Okacha.

"We have discussed ways to involve the two chambers of the Moroccan parliament in actions undertaken by our two heads of state and governments, especially in inter-parliamentary matters," Ag Hamani said after the talks, underlining that parliamentary diplomacy plays an extremely important role in developing inter-states ties.

The Malian PM and the delegation accompanying him will also be meeting Moroccan economic operators.
