Al-Hayat: Jalabi says Salah Eddine conference provides joint leadership

The chairman of the opposition Iraqi National Congress, Ahmad al-Jalabi, said in a statement to the London- based al-Hayat daily issued on Saturday that the meetings of the Iraqi opposition in Salah Eddine city, held recently resulted in founding a joint field leadership for the Iraqi opposition sides which have military groups and cover the Kurdish parties and Bader contingent.

Al-Jalabi said that all forces rallied under this leadership will play a great role in the liberation of Iraq and in restoring security following the collapse of the Iraqi regime.

He denied that the Americans have informed their role will be limited to protecting the northern areas.
