Morocco says it wants to preserve its security while respecting legality
Moroccan Prime Minister, Driss Jettou, on Friday said Morocco is keen to be endowed with legal means to preserve its security, noting that "present laws do not protect the country against drifts."
Morocco which has a struggle to wage at the strictly security level is not ready to surrender, Jettou told a Moroccan weekly.
The Premier stressed that "there would be no laxness in dealing with fundamentalist movements."
"Much work is yet to be done for the modernization of the means available to the police," said Jettou, who stressed the importance of a sound surveillance of borders.
"Morocco is efficiently controlling all its territory," he assured, stressing Morocco's irreversible choices to promote human rights and consolidate democracy.
