Turkish FM denies statement about Saddam's exile

In a statement issued yesterday, the Turkish foreign ministry denied the statement attributed by one of the Turkish dailies to the foreign minister Yashar Yakash which said that the only solution for the Iraqi question lies in sending the Iraqi President Saddam Hussein to exile.

In its statement, the ministry stressed that Yakash did not say the words the way mentioned in the paper's report, rather Yakash has repeatedly stressed the need of exerting efforts to solve the Iraqi question by peaceful means.
