China for settling the Iraqi issue by peaceful means

China has yesterday called for settling the Iraqi issue by political and diplomatic means and in the context of the UN.

The spokeswoman for the Chinese foreign ministry said in a press conference that her country's position has not changed concerning the need to give enough time to the UN Security Council to study the report of the UN weapons inspectors working in Iraq before carrying out any action.
