Crocker visited Israel

Well-informed American sources yesterday disclosed that an official at the US Department of State Ran Crocker had recently paid a secret visit to Israel to hold talks about the war threatened by the US against Iraq and its possible reflections on the region.

The Israeli radio said that Crocker met during his visit with what is called the chairman of the Israeli national security council Aphream Halevey and the director general of the Israeli foreign ministry Yuwaz Beiran.
