Yemeni president intensify efforts chasing the killers; FBI team part of the investigations

Originally published

The Yemeni President Ali Abdullah Saleh has called on the security forces to intensify efforts in chasing what he had described as terrorists and those who violate security and to bring them into justice.

This was following the two incidents of killing three Americans at Jableh hospital in Ab province and Yemeni socialist party official, Jarullah Omar.

The Yemeni official news agency Sabaa said that Saleh asked the government to take all measures for chasing everyone who has link to committing criminal acts.

This, however, coincides with the large scale campaign of arrest carried out by the Yemeni security forces targeting more than 30 persons in the lines of what are described as "extremists Islamists" in the provinces of Sanaa and Ab during the 48 past hours.

According to a Yemeni official who asked to be anonymous, a team of the American FBI arrived on Tuesday in Yemen to take part in the investigation concerning the killing of the Americans.
