Jordanian- Sudanese committee meets in Khartoum next month
The Jordanian- Sudanese Ministerial committee will hold its meetings in mid January, 2003 in Khartoum under the chairmanship of the Jordanian Prime minister Ali Abul Ragheb.
The committee will discuss the possibility of strengthening joint cooperation between the two states and signing bilateral cooperation agreements to support such a cooperation.
During his visit to Khartoum, Abul Ragheb will be meeting with the Sudanese President Omar al-Bashir and high ranking Sudanese officials in order to discuss current developments in the region, the Arab situation, regional issues and means of strengthening bilateral relations.
On the other hand, a well-informed Jordanian source revealed his country's rejection to using its territories in order to launch a military act against Iraq, despite what was rumored on the repeated American requests for an American presence on Jordanian territories.
In statements issued in Jordan, the source said that the Jordanian military maneuvers with American forces fall in the course of joint exercises carried by Jordan periodically with several Arab and foreign states.
