Yemen: Clashes in al-Mukalla with al-Qaida members
Clashes took place near al-Mukalla city between the security forces and a group of armed men presumed to belong to al-Qaida organization and suspected to be involved in the attack against the French oil truck Limburg in October.
A security official said the police forces besieged a three- floor building in the coastal Fawt area, close from al-Mukalla port, which hosts tourists, adding that fire exchange which started in the morning continued.
Eye witnesses said that at least three persons were wounded by bullets, with almost all of them outside the building. A Yemeni source announced later that two police members were killed in the clashes.
