Syrian-Russian Economic Cooperation reviewed

Damascus Chamber of Industry Board and Representatives of Ministries of Economy, Industry and Transportation yesterday discussed with the visiting Russian Communist Party delegation the economic relations and the cooperation in the industrial field between Syria and Russia and ways of developing them.

The Syrian side expressed the industrialists' interest in increasing Syrian products export to Russia and import the Russian raw materials and machines indicating the necessity of discussing the points related to taxes, customs and the banking system in order to finance the values of the exports and imports.

For his part, head of the Russian delegation stressed the necessity of exerting joint efforts to activate the economic relations and the trade agreements as well as the establishing direct contacts between industrial companies and the industrialists and the Russian industrial corporations.

Both sides agreed on exchanging the visits of businessmen and industrialists to set agreements and trade exchange priorities on the bases of industrial cooperation with the Russian companies.
