Morocco's fire-stricken oil refinery gets equipped to resume production
SAMIR, the Moroccan oil refinery hit by a recent fire, has imported 12 power production units to have enough energy to resume production and supply.
After the fire, that claimed two lives and caused important material damage, ad-hoc structures were set up, with the contribution of international experts, to speed up supply from existing stocks and restart installations affected.
After the incident, SAMIR continued to supply the national market from its refinery in Sidi Kacem and its stores in Mohammedia. The company also launched gasoline and jet imports, in addition to ongoing imports.
