First conference, exhibition on investment at stock exchange starts

Activities of the first conference and exhibition on investment policy at the Stock Exchange started in Cairo yesterday.

ÊÊÊ The four-day event is an opportunity for those who are interested to familiarize themselves with investment opportunities in the Bourse, and experts will be on hand to answer any questions, Chairman of Cairo and Alexandria Stock Exchanges (CASE), Sameh El-Torgoman said.

ÊÊÊ "The exhibition, held on the sidelines of the conference, would offer a live demonstration on transactions and the rule of management in monitoring operations and protecting investors' rights," El-Torgoman added.

ÊÊÊ "We would like to see this as an annual event to inform and raise awareness among businessmen and investors of the role of the stock exchange," he added. "A team from the Stock Exchange has already started a public awareness campaign on the current and future needs of investors and their expectations of the bourse," he said.

ÊÊÊ "The Stock Exchange provides free access to a successful trading programme on the internet," Torgoman said, adding that this encourages management to provide more programmes of this nature.
