Israeli tanks incur in Rafah, destroy several houses, 23 Palestinians wounded, scores arrested by Israel

Palestinian security sources and eye witnesses said that more than 15 tanks and two Israeli military vehicles incurred into al-Salaam quarters and Salah Eddin Gate an Ballouck in Rafah and destroyed 6 houses including the house of the Palestinian " martyr" Muhammad al-Qasir.

These sources explained that blowing off one of the houses by explosives resulted in the collapse of several adjoining houses on the heads of their inhabitants while during this operation some 37 Palestinians were arrested.

Meantime, an Apache helicopter opened its heavy machine gun fire at the Palestinian citizens near Mourag settlement in the same area.

The Israeli radio admitted that the operation of demolishing the houses is continuous and that the Israeli army had drawn a plan to destroy more than 60 houses.

In Nablus, the Israeli forces demolished the house of the Palestinian ( martyr) Shadi Ali Najmi who carried out the Tel Aviv operation in March. The said house inhabits five persons. The Israeli forces also destroyed 8 houses in al-Jafli area to the east of Toubas city and arrested nine citizens in Ramullah and Hebron under the pretext of resisting the occupation.
