Three parties say they will take part in strong and homogenous government
Three parties, the Party for Progress and Socialism (PPS), the Socialist Democratic Party (PSD) and Al-Ahd party, which decided to form a single group at the house of representatives (lower chamber of the parliament), said they are "determined to take part positively and constructively in a credible parliamentary majority" giving rise to "a strong and homogenous government."
A statement released by the three parties say the decision is a result of the parliamentary map that emerged from last September 27 legislative elections and of the clear guidelines outlined by King Mohammed VI in his speech at the opening of the first year of the 7th legislature. It also means to favor the country's supreme interest above any other consideration.
The PPS and the PSD had formed the Socialist Alliance and Al Ahd party, said it will be joining it.
Al Ahd obtained five seats at the House of Representatives (lower chamber of parliament), the PPS won 11 seats while the PSD took 6 seats.
