Karazai to visit Doha on Sunday

The President of Afghanistan Hamid Karazai will start a visit to Doha next Sunday within a tour on the region which will start on Friday by his visit to Saudi Arabia and also covering the United Arab Emirates.

Well-informed sources in Doha said that Karazai will hold during his visit to Doha which lasts for two days talks with the ruler of Qatar Sheikh Hamad Bin Khaleifa al-Thani and high ranking state officials concentrating on current conditions in Afghanistan at the political and security levels, and the possibility of Qatar's participation in the projects of rebuilding, led by the government of Afghanistan.

The sources added that the Afghani president will brief the Qatari head of state on the efforts exerted by the government at the level of restoring security and stability to Afghanistan, perpetuating national unity and fighting terrorism, building a balanced foreign policy with countries neighboring Afghanistan.

Karazi's visit to Doha is his first since he assumed power in Kabul.
