Secret agreement between al-Barazani, Talibani

Originally published

Turkish daily Hurriyet said Saturday that Masoud al-Barazani, the leader of the Kurdistani democratic party, and Jalal al-Talibani, the leader of the Kurdistani national federation party, agreed in secret to form one army and to assemble "Albishmarka" forces which include the armed Kurdish soldiers under one umbrella and this army also to include women members.

The paper indicated that the Turkish intelligence unit received information saying that the US has recently sent advanced weapons to the north Iraq area, part of which was distributed on the "Albishmarka" forces, and that intensive works have started by both two parties to recruit young people to the united army in order to increase their fighting ability. The paper said that this army will be ready before the beginning of an American military act against Iraq.
