Bosnian Muslim delegation in Egypt

Islam is the religion of mercy that discards extremism, violence, killing and bloodshedding, said Awkaf (Endowment) Minister Mahmoud Hamdy Zaqzouq on Tuesday.

ÊÊÊ During his meeting with a student delegation from Bosnia, he described as "unfair" attempts to link Islam with terrorism.

ÊÊÊ The minister lauded the steadfastness of the Bosnians in their fierce war to preserve their Islamic identity. He expressed the ministry's readiness to supply Muslims in Bosnia with all they need to know about the Islamic teachings.

ÊÊÊ Zaqzouq added Egypt is the country where Al-Azhar Al-Sharif is located, noting its keenness on hosting the Islamic delegations out of its belief in the significance of inter-Muslim communication to know one another as it is the core of cultural, intellectual communication.

ÊÊÊ Meanwhile, Sheikh Mahmoud Abdul-Ghani Ashour, Deputy of Al Azhar Al-Sharif, received yesterday the Bosnian delegation and a simplified explanation on Al-Azhar education stages.
