Syria, Morocco joining efforts to dissociate legitimate resistance from terrorism, Moroccan fm
Morocco and Syria are joining efforts to dissociate resistance to recover one's rights from terrorism, Moroccan minister of foreign affairs and cooperation, Mohammed Benaissa, said.
In an interview published Monday by Syrian newspaper "Teshrine," Benaissa stressed the necessity for the United Nations to play its role in settling world conflicts.
"Morocco has always supported Syria in its fight to recover the Golan, as it has supported the edification of an independent Palestinian state with Al-Qods (Jerusalem) as a capital," the minister said,
Benaissa underlined the two states' converging opinions regarding the developments which emerged at regional and international scenes.
The foreign minister said the Moroccan-Syrian ties are founded on solid bases and are developing in all fields.
The coming meeting of the Moroccan-Syrian high commission, to be co-chaired by the two heads of state, will be a bound in bilateral cooperation and a model for all Arab states, he said.
