Zinni and the foundation of a Palestinian state

The US special envoy for peace in the Middle East Anthony Zinni on Monday stressed that need that negotiations between the Palestinians and the Israelis to deal with basic issues as the foundation of the Palestinian state, its border, and the right of return for the Palestinian refugees.

In a speech he delivered before several businessmen, Zinni said that both sides have realized that a settlement can not be reached through violence and that peace is the only option. He expressed his optimism over the possibility of reaching a settlement between the Palestinian and the Israelis.
