A regional seminar for Arab business women

Under the patronage of Syria's First Lady Asmaa al-Assad, the regional seminar on revitalizing the role of the woman in economic development and business administration for women industrialists will open tomorrow at the Damascus Chamber of industry with the participation of the council of the Arab business women and Arab and international organization concerned.

This seminar which is considered the first of its kind will be attended by business women from Egypt, Lebanon, Jordan, Bahrain, Kuwait, the United Arab Emirates, Tunisia, Morocco, Saudi Arabia, Sudan, Qatar, Algeria and Syria.

In its three day deliberations, the seminar will discuss research centering on sectors surveys in which women are involved, their work conditions and obstacles facing them, the requirements and plans of economic development and the opportunities of women's participation in them and qualifying women and training them on ways of starting her own private business, means of supporting the women and the facilities that can be provided to contribute to the development process.
