Originally published

The Yemeni President Ali Abdullah Saleh has called -- in a people's gathering held in support for the Palestinians to the South of Sanaa -- on the Arab states bordering Israel to allow Yemeni citizens to fight beside the Palestinians.

News reports quoted the Yemeni President as saying that " if our brothers in the Arab states, adjoining Israel permit us, then we are ready to send our youths to fight beside our brothers in Palestine."

The Yemeni President added that the next battle will be decisive when borders will be opened before the Arab fighters and Mujahedeen in support of their Palestinian brothers.

The Yemeni president stressed that Yemen is determined to support the Palestinian President Yasser Arafat and the brave Palestinian people through sending money and military equipment to them because the war is not finished yet.

In Sanaa, the security forces prevented tens of thousands of persons from protesting before the American and British embassies.
