Israeli diplomats leave Jordan

Originally published

The Jordanian weekly al Mar'aa ( the Woman) said in its Tuesday's issue that Jordan had asked several Israeli diplomats in Amman to leave the country in order to ensure their safety from the anger of the Jordanian public.

Well-informed sources in Amman said that at the request of the Jordanian foreign ministry, six Israeli diplomats together with their families left Amman.

The same sources explained that the Jordanian measure is not considered as an expulsion for the Israeli diplomats but was taken for political and security reasons.
