Arab workers called to grant a day's salary to Palestinian people
The International Federation of Arab Labor Unions (FISTA) called on Arab workers to grant a day's salary to the Palestinian people, in support for the Intifada.
Participants, including the Moroccan Labor Union (UMT), denounced at an extraordinary session the Israeli aggressions against the Palestinian people, and the siege imposed to President Yasser Arafat.
The FISTA also suggested that May 1st be made day of solidarity with the Palestinian people, stressing the need to back Palestinian families, and take the necessary measures to host and medicate those injured in the Intifada.
The federation also condemned the United States' double standard policy and the world's silence over the massacres perpetrated by Israel against the Palestinian people, and rejected all forms of normalization with Israel, calling Arab peoples to boycott Israeli and American products.
