Cabinet to discuss establishment of information technology development authority

The cabinet will discuss at its next meeting two draft laws on the establishment of a new authority for developing information technology industry. The two bills be referred, after their approval by the cabinet, to the People's Assembly for approval.

Ali Mesalhy the director of technology development programme at the Minister of Telecommunications told Al Ahram that the new authority will serve as one of the essential entities for support and developing information technology industry.

He said that the aim is to increase exportation of Egyptian information technology.
