Yemeni demonstration in support of the Palestinian Intifada, Iraq

Originally published

A massive demonstration that condemned "the brutal acts committed by the Israeli forces against the unarmed Palestinian people in the occupied territories" was held in the Yemeni city of Taaz.

The Yemeni News agency Sabaa said that the demonstrators voiced slogans condemning "the massacres committed against the Palestinian people and burnt the Israeli flags and denounced the international silence towards these massacres."

A statement issued by the party branches and political organizations in Taaz called on the leaders of the Arab and Islamic states to unify their ranks towards national and Islamic issues and to mobilize all potentials to liberate all occupied Arab territories in Palestine, the Syrian Golan and South Lebanon.

The statement also called for supporting the Palestinian Intifada financially and politically and to break the siege imposed on the Iraqi people and reject the threats to direct a military strike to Iraq.
