Egypt urges world parliaments to hammer out terrorism-defining agreement
Egyptian People's Assembly Speaker Ahmed Fathi Sorour underscored President Hosni Mubarak's proposal to conclude an international anti-terrorism agreement under the aegis of the United Nation.
Upon arrival in Marrakesh at the head of a high-level delegation to participate in the Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU), Sorour said that the Egyptian delegation will call on the world parliaments to work out an agreement to define terrorism to avoid confusing peoples' rights to resist occupation with terrorism.
"Egypt will urge the parliaments of 124 countries to practice pressures on Israel to stop its extermination campaign against the Palestinian people," he said.
