Bombs thrown at the American embassy in Sanaa

The building of the American embassy in Sanaa was attacked by bombs. The attack was carried out by a Yemeni citizen who was arrested immediately and before he could flee away.

The Yemeni youth who was known as Sameer Yahya Awad al-Kawkabani ( 25 year old). He was about to throw another second bomb unless he was arrested by the Yemeni forces assigned to guard the embassy, according to a Yemeni official source.

A statement by the Yemeni ministry of the interior said that the attack resulted in no material or human losses. noted that the attacker was suffering psychological problems and that the operation was personal and no side stands by it. The statement added that an investigation was opened immediately to know the motives of the attacker.
