Urgent Qatari donation to the Palestinians

A Palestinian diplomatic source in Doha said that Qatar handed the Palestinian Authority a sum of USD 5 million, as part of half of an urgent aid of a total value of USD 10 million. This was made during the visit held by the Qatari foreign minister Sheikh Hamad Bin Jasem al-Thani to Ramullah during which he met with the Palestinian President Yasser Arafat last Saturday.
