Mubarak discusses with Solana, Danish FM efforts to cool down situation

The Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak received today the Danish Foreign Minister and European Union (EU) foreign policy and security Commissioner Javier Solana. A diplomatic source said Mubarak's meetings with the European officials fall within the Egyptian-European efforts to contain the deteriorating situation.

Solana briefed the President on the outcome of talks with Israeli and Palestinian officials.
