Egyptian FM in Morocco Tuesday
Egyptian foreign minister, Ahmed Maher, is expected in Morocco Tuesday on a two-day visit during which he will convey King Mohammed VI a message from President Husni Mubarak.
The message deals with bilateral relations and consultations on the latest developments in the region, mainly the situation in the occupied Palestinian territories, a reliable source from Maher's office told MAP bureau in Cairo.
Maher will discuss with his Moroccan peer, Mohamed Benaissa, besides bilateral relations, a set of issues of mutual concern, with focus on the Palestinian cause and ongoing efforts to stop the Israeli aggression against the Palestinian people.
The two men had met last week in Cairo during a short visit Benaissa paid to Egypt.
In view of the situation currently prevailing in the Middle East, Morocco and Egypt agreed to postpone to a later date the official visit President Mubarak was to pay to Morocco as of January 11 to co-chair with king Mohammed VI the meeting of the Moroccan-Egyptian high joint commission.
