A message from al-Assad to Butaflika

The Algerian President Abdul Aziz Butaflika on Wednesday received the Syrian minister of tourism Saad Allah Agha al-Qalaa who conveyed to his excellency a message from President Bashar al-Assad relating to bilateral relations and developments of conditions on the Arab and international arenas.

The meeting was attended by the Algerian minister of tourism and traditional industries Elakhder Darabani, ministry officials concerned and the Syrian ambassador in Algeria Saeed Hammadi.

In a statement following the meeting, the Syrian minister said he had conveyed a message from President Bashar al-Assad to President Butaflika relating to the overall development currently taking place in Algeria.

The Syrian minister added that the meeting with President Butaflika dealt with overall developments in the world, especially on the political, economic and cultural areas.

On Tuesday the Syrian and Algerian tourism ministers inaugurated at al-Orasi hotel in Algiers activities of the Syrian- Algerian tourism week which is being held under the slogan of unity of interaction between the Arab Maghreb and the Arab Mashreq and consolidation of historical ties and prospects of a promising future.
