French FM arrives in Luxor

French Foreign Minister Hubert Vedrine arrived in this Upper Egyptian town Tuesday on a two-day visit. The French top diplomat and his wife spent their New Year's eve in Aswan. Vedrdine was welcomed at the airport by Luxor Higher Council Chief Al-Desouk Al-Bana.

The couple's sight-seeing tour of this ancient Egyptian town will take them to the spectacular Pharaonic and historical sites on the west bank of the Nile and Al-Karnak Temples.
