Creation of Uruguayan-Arab Chamber of Commerce

An Uruguayan-Arab chamber of commerce was created in Montevideo last week, to enhance trade exchanges between Uruguay and the Arab world.

El Pais De Montevideo daily which reported the news said the move initiators project concrete actions to promote the Uruguayan products, especially agri-food products, in Arab markets.

Member of the chamber, Alem Garcia, told the daily that by adjusting costs and improving quality, Uruguayan food industry may find promising outlets in Arab countries.
