Libyan- Chinese cooperation relations

The secretary general of the people's general committee Mubarak al-Shamekh discussed with member of the permanent committee of the political bureau and member of the central committee of the Chinese Communist party on Sunday in Tripoli means of strengthening Chinese- Libyan relations in all fields.

During the meeting, which was attended by members of the Chinese delegation accompanying the Chinese official, al- Shamekh expressed the appreciation of the Libyan leadership to China's stances taken in support of the Arab causes, especially in demanding lift of the measures imposed on Libya as a result of the question of Lockerbie.

For his part, the Chinese official stressed his country's desire to strengthen its relations with Libya at the bilateral level and joint investment and constructive co-operation towards the African continent, noting that the African unity will enhance the march of strengthening the African continent and achieve progress and development in their respective countries.
