The democratic front for the liberation of Palestine refuses resistance operations
The Democratic Front for the Liberation of Palestine on December 18 refused the call made by the chairman of the Palestinian Authority Yasser Arafat to halt armed works against Israel and called for continuing the Intifada.
In a statement the front which is led by Nayef Hawatemah and takes Damascus as a headquarters stressed that " Arafat's call to halt all armed acts came as a response to the American and Sharon's conditions to liquidate the Intifada and the legitimate national resistance against the occupation and settlement."
The front stressed that the decisions taken behind the back of the Intifada leadership and Palestinian resistance groups are not obligatory for these groups and forces."
The Democratic front which has adopted an operation against Israel, has called on all Palestinian sides for " a national and comprehensive dialogue to review the Palestinian policies since Oslo, means of promoting the Intifada and unifying the Palestinian resistance."
